Japanese Cherry Blossoms
During the spring season of the year at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, when the buds, bulbs and blossoms are beginning to bloom, the Japanese cherry blossoms are spectacular, in their soft and elegant light pink hues.
The Kwanzan cherry trees are absolutely full of these Japanese cherry blossoms, creating cozy little shelters.
And right in the heart of these little havens beneath the Japanese cherry blossoms the folks at Norfolk Botanical Gardens have set park benches.
Perfect to find a measure of reprieve for tired aching feet. Or for that one of a kind photo opportunity, as you are sitting surrounded by these beautiful Japanese cherry blossoms. These flowers lend to quite a dramatic setting.
The Japanese cherry blossoms look like little miniature carnations, with their delicately ruffled petals.
Then it seems, that when you put a sufficient number of these beautiful little carnation like Japanese cherry blossoms together, this large cluster of flowers turns into one gorgeous flower hanging on the end of the branch.
Looking at the tree from far away, with so many of these Japanese cherry blossoms on it, it too can have the appearance of a single flower!
