Yellow Azalea Flower
In the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, as you enjoy the spring flowers and blossoms that they have to offer, you will come across a yellow azalea flower that seems to set the beautiful tree that bears it on fire.
This yellow azalea flower has a golden glow about it, in bright yellow hues. And with the yellow orange buds that surround the yellow azalea flower, and the long yellow orange stamens which hang from its mouth, it gives the tree that characteristic flaming look.
The yellow azalea flower is clustered together with scores of others just like it, covering the ends of the branches, and so sets the tree ablaze in a firestorm of color.
The stunning brilliant colors draw you to the tree, and it is then, as you come near to bask in its radiance, that you notice the wonderful sweet fragrance of the yellow azalea flower.
Amazingly enough, while this yellow azalea flower is found in the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in the lovely commonwealth of Virginia, its actual name is Rhododendron austrinum. More commonly it is called the Florida azalea. We haven’t come across a Virginia azalea yet.
Even better than that, this yellow azalea flower is not even an azalea, it is a rhododendron.
Whatever it may be called, this yellow azalea flower bush is excellent for landscaping purposes, and would make a welcome addition to any garden.
